The City has released an intent to award the shared-ride taxi service contract to Abby Vans, Inc. which is based in Neillsville, WI.  The other two vendors that submitted a proposal have the right to protest and must submit that protest in writing by February 10^th .  IF no protests are received within the allotted time, then the city plans to proceed with entering into a contract with Abby Vans for shared-ride taxi services.  The proposed contract would be presented to the Common Council for consideration on February 15^th, and Abby Vans would begin operations as soon as March 1, 2023.  If the contract is awarded on the 15^th of February, as we anticipate it will be, then Abby Vans will begin allowing and encouraging clients to set up accounts and make reservations beginning February 20^th.
