THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BLACK RIVER FALLS, JACKSON COUNTY, WISCONSIN HEREBY GIVES NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTION FOR THE POSITION OF MAYOR OF THE CITY OF BLACK RIVER FALLS

WHEREAS, the position of Mayor of Black River Falls was not placed on the ballot for the Spring 2018 Election; and

WHEREAS, the Black River Falls City Council ordered a Special Election for said Mayor position at the common council meeting held on May 1, 2018;

NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF BLACK RIVER FALLS, JACKSON COUNTY, WISCONSIN HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that a special election will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 to fill the vacancy for the position of Mayor of the City of Black River Falls. The boundary of said election is the city of Black River Falls, maps of which can be obtained at the Black River Falls City Hall, 101 South Second Street, Black River Falls, Wisconsin. The incumbent before the vacancy occurred was Jay Eddy. The term for said office of Mayor will expire on April 21, 2020. If a primary is necessary, it will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2018. Circulation of nomination papers for candidates begins May 1, 2018 and nomination papers must be filed no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 1, 2018 in the office of the City Clerk for Black River Falls, located at City Hall, 101 South Second Street, Black River Falls, Wisconsin. This election shall be held, conducted, canvassed, and returned in accordance with law.
